Role overview We are looking for an senior and commercially minded Legal Manager to support the business across a range of commercial, contractual, and cross-border legal matters. You will act as a key legal partner to internal stakeholders, providing practical and business-oriented advice. You will take ownership of contract review and negotiation, manage relationships with external legal counsel, and help ensure that the company’s activities are legally compliant across multiple jurisdictions. Key responsibilities - Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial contracts, including customer agreements, supplier contracts, service agreements, confidentiality agreements, partnership agreements, and general terms and conditions. - Provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused legal advice to management and operational teams. - Support the business on cross-border legal matters and coordinate legal issues involving multiple jurisdictions. - Identify legal and contractual risks and propose practical solutions to mitigate them. - Ensure that contractual documentation and internal legal processes are consistent with applicable French and international legal requirements. - Manage relationships with external legal counsel, including selecting, briefing, coordinating, and monitoring external advisers when specialist or local support is required. - Monitor legal developments relevant to the company’s activities and advise internal stakeholders on potential impacts. - Support the implementation and improvement of legal policies, templates, governance processes, and contract-management procedures. - Assist with dispute prevention and, where required, coordinate the handling of claims, disputes, and litigation with external counsel. - Provide legal awareness and practical guidance to non-legal teams, particularly in relation to contractual commitments and risk management. - Maintain accurate records of contracts, legal documentation, external counsel matters, and key legal deadlines. Profile and requirements - Master’s degree in Law, preferably with a focus on commercial law, business law, contract law, or international business law. - At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in a legal department, law firm, or international business environment. - Strong expertise in commercial law and contract law, with demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements independently. - Proven ability to manage legal matters autonomously, from initial assessment through to contract execution or coordination with external counsel. - Experience supporting cross-border and multi-jurisdictional matters is highly desirable. - Fluent French and English, both written and spoken. - Strong ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical, and commercially relevant advice.
