The role: Legal Counsel
We’re looking for a
dynamic, business-savvy legal counsel
to join our team. If you have a passion for
technology, SaaS, AI, compliance and international business law
, this is an exciting opportunity to
make a real impact
in a fast-moving, innovative environment.
You will be the third legal counsel, working closely with the General Counsel.
Your responsibilities will include:
Contracts & Transactions:
Negotiate, draft, and manage SaaS agreements, customer/vendor contracts, and key business transactions.
Strategic Legal Guidance:
Advise leadership and business teams on
commercial, regulatory, and strategic matters
, helping scale our global operations.
AI, Data & Cybersecurity Compliance:
Ensure compliance with evolving laws like
GDPR, AI Act, Data Act, NIS 2, and DORA
, working closely with the security team on
SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP
certifications.
Corporate Governance & ESG:
Drive and support sustainability initiatives and
enhance our ESG policies
.
Risk Management & Policies:
Develop internal legal tools, policies, and training programs.
Regulatory Watch:
Stay ahead of emerging legal trends impacting
AI, SaaS, and cloud computing
.
What we are looking for:
Legal Expertise:
Master’s degree in law (civil/common law). LL.M or business/management degree and bar admission is a plus.
Experience:
3+ years at a top-tier law firm or in-house (preferably tech/SaaS-related).
Knowledge:
Background in
privacy, data protection and IT law
is a strong advantage.
Skills:
Sharp negotiator
with excellent drafting and communication abilities.
Business-oriented mindset
with a practical approach to legal challenges.
Analytical skills
, able to break down complex regulatory issues into clear risks and practical solutions.
Curious & adaptable
, eager to tackle new legal and business issues.
Fluent in English & French
(both written and spoken).
