Freelance Legal & Compliance Consultant – Pharmaceutical Location: Paris / France | Contract: Freelance | Start: ASAP | 5 days/week Hybrid We are seeking a senior French Pharmaceutical Compliance professional with strong practical Legal capability for an urgent freelance assignment supporting a pharmaceutical organization in France. This is a Compliance-first role , requiring someone highly autonomous and hands-on who can assess the current Compliance environment, identify areas of exposure and implement practical improvements, while also providing day-to-day Legal support. Key Responsibilities - French Pharmaceutical Compliance, risk assessment & remediation - Compliance audits, gap assessments and risk mapping - Develop and implement improved processes, controls and Compliance frameworks - Advise on areas including DMOS/Anti-Gift, Sapin II, GDPR and promotional compliance - Review, draft and negotiate contracts/agreements - Provide practical Legal and Compliance advice - Deliver Compliance training and awareness - Partner with French and Global stakeholders Profile - Fluent French & English – essential - Strong French Pharmaceutical Compliance experience - Approx. 10+ years' relevant experience preferred - Pharmaceutical/Big Pharma background highly desirable - Strong Legal knowledge and commercial contract experience - Proven audit, risk identification and remediation experience - Senior enough to operate independently, but still hands-on - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills - Qualified lawyer advantageous, not mandatory An initial 6–9 month Compliance improvement roadmap is envisaged, with the formal contract duration TBC.
