Join Sage and play a key role in helping our people, managers and HR teams navigate complex employment law and employee relations matters with confidence. In this highly visible position, you'll act as a trusted advisor across a broad range of workforce topics, from hiring and mobility through to organisational change, employee relations, compliance and litigation. You'll combine legal expertise with a pragmatic, people-focused approach, helping to create positive employee experiences while ensuring Sage remains compliant and well-governed. Overview of the Team You'll be part of a collaborative HR and Legal environment, working closely with HR Business Partners, managers, employee representatives and external legal counsel. The team supports a wide range of employment law, employee relations and governance activities across the organisation, contributing to both day-to-day workforce matters and strategic people initiatives. Office Location Paris, France Hybrid Working - 3 days per week in our Paris office and 2 days from home. **Responsabilités principales** We're looking for an experienced employment law specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys partnering with stakeholders across all levels of the business. What you'll be doing: - Act as a trusted legal advisor to HR teams, managers, employees and staff representatives on employment law matters. - Provide guidance on hiring, mobility, performance management, disciplinary processes, terminations and organisational change. - Draft, review and harmonise employment contracts, amendments, internal policies and collective agreements. - Ensure HR practices remain compliant with applicable labour legislation, collective bargaining agreements and company policies. - Support relationships with works councils, employee representatives and trade unions. - Prepare and participate in employee consultations, negotiations and collective bargaining discussions. - Manage employment disputes and litigation, coordinating with external legal counsel and assessing legal risk. - Monitor legislative and case law developments and advise on business impact. - Support governance, compliance and wellbeing initiatives, including diversity and inclusion, harassment and discrimination matters, whistleblowing processes, social audits and risk management programmes. - Contribute to international projects focused on HR process harmonisation, social compliance and organisational best practice. Experience you'll bring: - Significant experience in employment and labour law. - Strong expertise in employee relations and collective labour relations. - Experience working with employee representative bodies, works councils and trade unions. - Proven experience managing employment disputes, investigations and litigation matters. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all levels. - Ability to balance legal risk with practical business solutions. - Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. - A genuine interest in supporting organisational change, compliance, employee wellbeing and positive workplace culture.
