Corporate Paralegal Officer — Pharmaceutical / Healthcare Group
Reporting to: General Counsel
About the Role
We're recruiting a Corporate Paralegal Officer for a global pharmaceutical/healthcare group's Legal Department. This is a senior paralegal role supporting the General Counsel directly across corporate governance, contract lifecycle management, process improvement, and KYC coordination — ideal for an experienced corporate paralegal who wants ownership over how a legal function runs, not just document processing.
What You'll Do
- Support the General Counsel and legal counsels on corporate governance matters: domestic and foreign entity registrations, maintenance, and company resolutions; handle routine filings with government bodies and third parties
- Support contract negotiations, entity management, and litigation matters, including external counsel and records management
- Drive the rollout and ongoing maintenance of a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool — from initial data feed through to regular updates
- Maintain and renew business licenses; review, edit, and draft legal documents and contract summaries; manage the contract approval process
- Own the Department's records management tools and processes; recommend and implement improvements to legal team tools, processes, and policies
- Track and document operational KPIs and strategic projects alongside the General Counsel
- Act as the interface between Treasury and internal/external stakeholders for KYC documentation requests from banks
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years' experience as a corporate paralegal, including exposure to KYC processes
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies (or equivalent)
- Fluent spoken and written English and French; additional languages an asset
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, comfortable with IT tools, and proactive about improving processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work well under pressure and to deadline, with strong attention to detail
- Experience handling and communicating with senior/executive-level stakeholders
- Rigorous approach to document production and verification ahead of management sign-off
- Familiarity with compliance programs and their implementation at group level
Preferred
- Experience in a multinational group, including corporate matters and registrations across subsidiaries
- Prior KYC-related work
